This is just one of the many property questions we have answered recently:- Q - I can't sell and am thinking of auctioning my house, it's a three bed and I don't know if it would cost a lot more than selling through an agent. A - If you can't sell on the 'open market' then auctioning is a good think to explore. Typically it will cost a similar amount to selling via an estate agent. Fees are likely to include a cost for adding you to their auction catalogue, which may be a few hundred pounds or more, depending on the size of the ad and value of your home. Should the sale go through on auction day, then you are likely to incur commission fees similar to local estate agents, so around 1.5-3%.
