A buyer’s market sounds ideal - lots of properties for sale to choose from and being in a position to make offers below the asking price – so you’ll really get the feeling that you can bag a bargain. But just how do you make the most of it?

Firstly, a lack of dithering is a must, so, without rushing into anything, make a list of all the things you need and want from a home, so you can create a list to compare properties by. This list might include living near a good school, within reach of good transport links or near shops. Or it might just be a south-facing garden and a parking space.
